Informed I would be out of work
I cleaned my desk and tossed my shoes
I left and did not sing the blues
I took my final too long drive
Lost my job, but I'm still alive
To some, my future don't look sunny
Jobs are scarce and so is money
Lost my job, but I'm still alive
To some, my future don't look sunny
Jobs are scarce and so is money
I had to go and cut my hair
To show all that I really care
My former look appeared to some
I tried to be an aging bum
To show all that I really care
My former look appeared to some
I tried to be an aging bum
My talents all I want to say
I put them in a resume
To take by hand I think is fine
I'm told I have to go online
I put them in a resume
To take by hand I think is fine
I'm told I have to go online
There will be jobs, I will get money
This time in life will all look funny
No need to fret about the next meal
My faith in God I know is real
This time in life will all look funny
No need to fret about the next meal
My faith in God I know is real

I remember when you could walk into a company, get an interview, and sell yourself. I hate the way things work now. 1000 people send in electronic resumes and your talents are never are seen. I have been through this years ago, and totally understand.
Best of luck to you Cliff !!!

ps ... always ask friends / family / acquaintances if they know of an opening because they may be able to have some influence on your consideration ;-)
